1. Overview
Coaster Card Collector ("Coaster Card Collector," "we," "us," or "our") is a mobile-first web application that lets users collect, organize, and trade digital roller-coaster-themed trading cards. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have regarding your information.
Coaster Card Collector is operated by Steele (the "Operator"). By using the application (the "Service"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: username, email address, and password (stored in hashed/encrypted form) when you register an account.
- Profile information: any optional display name, avatar, or bio you choose to add.
- User content: collection data, trade offers, messages, or other content you create or submit within the Service.
- Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for help or feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages and features visited, cards viewed/collected/traded, session duration, and general interaction patterns within the app.
- Device and technical data: IP address (may be truncated/anonymized), browser type, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in Section 4.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data), and we do not collect any payment or financial information, as the Service is free to use.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and enable core features (collecting, organizing, and trading digital cards);
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including diagnosing technical issues;
- Understand aggregate usage trends through analytics so we can improve features and performance;

- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service;

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also track usage activity, such as which features you use, which cards you view, collect, or trade, and how you navigate the app, using our own first-party, in-house tracking. This activity data is collected and stored on our own systems for the sole purpose of understanding how the Service is used and improving it.
We do not use any third-party analytics provider (such as Google Analytics or similar services). Your activity data is not sent to or processed by outside analytics companies; it stays within Coaster Card Collector's own systems.
Most browsers let you control or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Service (such as staying signed in) may not function correctly.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: with vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, email delivery), bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. As noted above, we do not use third-party analytics providers.
- With other users: certain profile information (such as your username and public trade activity) is visible to other users as part of the Service's core trading/collecting functionality.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Coaster Card Collector, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as password hashing and access controls) to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Coaster Card Collector is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under the age of 13 to use the Service. Both full account creation and guest profile creation require confirming that you are 13 years of age or older before you can proceed; anyone who indicates they are under 13 is blocked from creating an account or guest profile.
- Because of this age screen, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- If we later learn that someone under 13 has gained access to the Service or provided personal information despite this screen, we will promptly delete the associated account and personal information.
- Parents or guardians who believe their child has accessed the Service or provided personal information to us despite this age screen may contact us at sturgy.gfx@gmail.com to request review, correction, or deletion of that information.
- We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in and monitor their children's online activities.
